Roger McBeath Jr wants a new trial. He was convicted in the murder of Ashley Lyons his pregnant ex-girlfriend. His sister, new girlfriend Dena Williams, and Thomas Williams all have pled guilty in the murder of the teen who wanted to give birth.

Your little comment makes it sound like Dena is Roger McBeath’s sister. She was neither his sister nor is girlfriend. She was Ashley’s best friend. Dena was kicked out of her home and Ashley’s parents would not let her move in with them….so Ashley asked Roger (who was Ashley’s boyfriend at the time) and his parents if they would let Dena stay with them until things got better for her. Roger and his parents, being the wonderful and loving and caring people they are, of course took her in. Dena started obsessing over Roger (as was evident in her diary) and soon became very jealous of Ashley and Rogers relationship so much that she told Ashley that her and Roger had been together…..As soon as she found out that Ashley was pregnant, she became enraged, especially when she overheard Roger tell Ashley that he loved her and was excited about seeing the ultrasound pictures. The person who stood the most to lose with the birth of this child was Dena. Is it not obvious that she is the one who murdered Ashley. Plus, there it is his lawyers that have asked for a new trial. This title and short blurt that you have makes it sound like a murderer wants a new trial…..if you knew Roger and his brothers and his family, you would know that they could not hurt a flea….they are the most caring people around. They have given so much of themselves to others and done without things themself to help those who were more needy then them. Your title should read “Roger McBeath Jr….seeks justice”……too many facts lean more towards that he was innocent rather than guilty…..

In 2005, Williams’ twin sister, Dena Williams, pleaded guilty to complicity to murder and tampering with evidence and was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Their father, Nevel Williams, faces charges of witness tampering related to the case.

Thomas Williams, 20 was the third person so far convicted in the murder. Her boyfriend Roger McBeath Jr wanted to cause her to miscarry but later decided to use a 9mm on her and murder her. Ashley was murdered in Scott County Ky in 2004.

Make no mistake about it Roger killed Ashley and HIS son Landon, there were witnesses!!!! But let me set you all straight on the facts: Yes Ashley and Dena were friends in high school , and one night when it was storming very badly Ashley asked Roger to pick up Dena at her job at the local store to give her a ride home since she had to ride her bike some 4-5 miles home, Roger gave Dena a ride and it all started there. Dena NEVER asked to move in with us,and we have had other teens live with us for short times that were having problems at home. Dena started playing Roger’s parents from the start making them feel sorry for her saying her mother was an alcoholic and mistreated her(well if the William’s were such bad parents how come the other 4 siblings still lived there including her younger twin sisters!!!) Ashley and Roger were inseperable until Dena came into the picture. Dena then moved into the McBeath household and lived there until Roger was sentenced to life with the possibility of parole in 20 yrs. in Ashley’s murder(no on is charged with Landons murder??)Then she was thrown out of their house to go home and live with her parents where she lived when she was arrested on Dec.16 2004 for being invovled in the murders. ROGER LIVED WITH US FOR A MONTH(in August 2003) THEN ASHLEY AND ROGER MOVED IN TOGETHER IN SEPT.2003 IN THEIR OWN APARTMENT. DENA STILL LIVED WITH THE MCBEATHS! ROGER CAME TO ME,ASHLEY’S MOM AND SAID “I DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE LIVING AT HOME BECAUSE MOM AND DAD WON’T MAKE DENA MOVE BACK HOME AND I WANT TO HAVE A FULL TIME RELATIONSHIP WITH ASHLEY” WE HELPED THEM GET THERE APARTMENT AND FURNISHED IT FOR THEM, NOT THE MCBEATHS(OH ,THEY BOUGHT THEM A USED WASHER AND DRYER FROM HIS HALF SISTER)WHEN AHSLEY BECAME PREGNANT THE MCBEATHS STILL LET DENA LIVE IN THEIR HOME, AND TOLD ASHLEY SHE HAD TO ACCEPT HER AS PART OF THE FAMILY.THEN ASHLEY WALKED IN ON DENA AND ROGER TOGETHER IN THE APARTMENT AND SHE IMMEDIATLEY MOVED BACK HOME. Well I have read the comments on this page and I have a pretty good idea of who the ( Anonymous Says: April 23rd, 2006 at 9:11 pm ) person is. I can only say one thing to you. Your a stupid F*****G Idoit. Roger was dating both Ashley and Dena back and forth for 2 1/2 to 3 years. He couldnt just pick one and stick with her. Because Ashley was the good girl that he could settle down with and Dena was the nasty one that would do anythign he wanted to. Apparently the person who left this comment either dosent know shit about Roger or Dena and is just running their mouth or like I said they are a complete idoit. If Roger is so sweet and innocent then why would he sit there at his house when I called him the night my father and I found my sister sitting in her car dead, instead of rushin out there to see what was going on. If he loved Ashley so much why wasnt he out there as soon as I called him. I’ll tell ya why because he already knew what had happened to Ashley because he did it!!!!! Roger was stupid to think he could get away with this without anyone finding out.espically with his girlfriend Dena and Dena’s brother Thomas Williams envolved. They both ran their mouths to people before it happened about what they were gonna do and were bragging about it to people after the helped Roger kill Ashley. Theses are the facts 1. Thomas Williams supplied Roger Mcbeath Jr. with the 9mm hand gun. 2. Roger and Dena drove to the park where Ashley was found. Roger got outa the truck walked down the hill to Ashleys car and shot her 3 times. 3 Witnesses say Roger walking back up the hill right past them. The witnesses turned their Vehicle around headed out of the park. The witnesses watched Rogers truck pull up on the Road outside the park Roger Jumped the fence and climbed into the passenger side of his truck which sped away, and Dena says the she was driving the truck that night. But thats not what the witnesses saw!!!!!!! I cant say who it was but I wonder who the next person will be to get arrested in regards to Ashleys murder. I’m sure who ever it was driving the truck knows it coming, its just a mater of time. So the moral here is If you dont know the whole story or your trying to lie for someone you should make sure that your the only one who knows the true story before you start posting comments on the internet, because sooner or later someone will read it and know that your lieing trhoguh your teeth and they will post the true story.

I hope you will publish Ashley’s diary on a website. I’ve followed this case online since shortly after Ashley was killed, and often wondered what some of the things that haven’t been made public would show.
Why did the McBeaths continue to allow Dena to live w/ them even after Ashley caught her with Roger? I know they felt sorry for her, but wonder why even this didn’t “wake them up” to the kind of person Dena really was?
You have my deeprest condolences on the loss of Ashley and Landon.

we are currently working on an official website, it should be up and running by the end of January. The truth will be told and it will contain pics of baby Landon. It has been three years since Ashley and Landon were murdered and Ashley and Landon's family would like to thank everyone for there support thru this horrible time. I thought the hardest thing I would ever have to do was to bury my beautiful, loving daughter and my grandson, but I was wrong, the hardest part is to go on everyday without them!!! and to keep the people that murdered them in jail.There are still more people out there that are responsible for planning and assisting in their murders and we pray everyday for complete justice, that they all end up in jail. I'm glad that Roger is getting a new trial. HE DID NOT KILL HER. I AM SURE THAT YOU, MRS. LYONS, HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM as you stated. By the way, YOU NEED TO WASH YOUR SON'S MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP! I am on the McBeath side and I did not scatter like a bunch of leaves, as Mrs. Lyons stated. I know the truth and I'm not about to argue with someone who can't see the truth because of the hatred she has had for the McBeaths ever since Ashley and Roger started dating. I'm sorry that you lost your daughter and that you, Roger Sr. and Rita lost a grandchild. I think it is so bad that such caring people as Roger, Rita, Charlie and James can't even go to the store without someone harrassing them. Scott co is home town PD I have read all I could about case i the mother only wants some one to pay it makes who it is so mother I feel for you I think you should keep your moth close and your money in your pocket and let the what law you have in scott co miss up things they have done a good job so for i think the judge should go to there is to neny good old boys there

i think they should clean out all the good boys cops in scott co all the way inclouding judges this tril was a mess from the get go it is a shame we have law like this working for us they are the ones that should be in jail if the truth was know
